Rounding out resolution week is the gorgeous Jen of Pearls and Lace!
Hi I’m Jen from Pearls & Lace and I’m delighted to be here today to share my fashion resolutions for the new year! I adore Lauren’s style and I love seeing her beautiful outfits everyday! As we enter the new year, here are five fashion resolutions I’m going to try hard to accomplish!
Wear Tights
I’m so bad, no seriously I am. Even though I live where it gets moderately cold in the winter I don’t wear tights with skirts or dresses! Don’t ask me why, but I don’t even own any! I’ve seen the cutest pairs with polka dots and pretty patterns and yet I still haven’t bought a pair! I’m going to make a huge effort to fix this sad situation this year!
Be Adventurous With My Nails
Ok, I have to say that I’ve made huge improvements over the last year when it comes to painting my nails. Rarely will they be without polish now, but I usually stick to safe colours like pinks and blues (my favourites). My resolution for this year is to be more adventurous by trying some fun patterns and color combinations!
Wear Heels More Often
This is a huge resolution for me! I own some pretty heels but rarely wear them because of how tall I am already! This year I’m going to set aside my fear of looking like a giant and wear heels every opportunity I get! I figure I’m tall, I might as well be proud of it!
Buy More Key Pieces
I’m definitely not someone who buys things impulsively but like many people, I have items in my closet that I wonder what I was thinking when I bought them. My goal for this year is to focus on buying key pieces for my wardrobe! I definitely want to add a few pieces that are multifunctional and timeless!
Be a Little More Trendy
My style is quite classic (which is one of the reasons why I love Lauren’s blog) and I like that but there are times when I wish I was a little more open to new fashion trends. Usually it takes me a little while to warm up to a new trend (like gold jewelry or brightly colored pants) but once I come around I love it! My resolution for this year is to be more open with new trends and give them a try sooner than I normally would!
