Today’s outfit is not earth-shattering or super-inventive, but it is a variation of my work uniform for those days when I’m feeling less than creative. All I really need is a cardigan and a pencil skirt to look presentable in the office.
But what I do think makes this outfit a little more fun is a sprinkling of gold accessories and my very beloved polka dot tights.
Can I sidebar for a moment on these tights? I have been wanting polka dot tights for forever. Seriously, I’ve lusted after them for a couple of months, which is eternity in my book. So my very sweet husband made several stops while traveling for work until he found me a pair. He deserved a little blog recognition for that one.
For my accessories I layered one of my daintier necklaces with a large one rather than rocking my typical statement necklace, but I think layering can make just as much of an impact as one bigger piece.
Belted cardigan: H&M (similar), Skirt: J.Crew Wool No. 2 Pencil, Tank: Merona, Tights: Macy’s (similar), Shoes: J.Crew Factory (similar), Necklaces: Stella & Dot Rebel Pendant, After Midnight, Bracelets: Stella & Dot Cristina Link, Tribute Bracelet, Earrings: Renegade Drop
I even doubled-up on my bracelets, mixing gold with rose gold. It seems like gold-tone jewelry is my go to these days.
Do you find yourself wearing more gold than silver jewelry?
