Over the weekend I indulged in a little retail therapy. After my series of Saturday mishaps, it was necessary. Luckily the Williamsburg outlets were on the way home from the beach. Is there anything better than therapeutic shopping on a dime? One of my favorite purchases has to be this accordion pleat mini from J.Crew Factory. It will be the perfect transition piece.Β For now it looks great with a simple button down, but I can just picture it layered with tights, booties, and a blazer come Fall and even later this Winter. Definitely a sound investment in my book!Β
What’s your favorite transitional piece?
Top: Old Navy, Skirt: J.Crew Factory Accordian Pleat Mini, Belt: Merona (similar), Necklace: Toasted Coconut c/o The Rad Market, Bracelet: Charming Charlie, Watch: Movado, Earrings: J.Crew Factory Fireball Stud
**Don’t forget to enter the TWO giveaways going on now: $25 to the Rad Market, $30 to Gap/ON/BR!**

I’m kind of obsessed with your shoes. Where are they from?!
Whoops! I left them off my outfit details! They are from J.Crew Factory. I don’t think they have the black and white version anymore, but I did see some all black patent ones at the store this weekend! They also come in a bright orange. π
Cute flats. Love the simplicity of the skirt, the styling possibilities are endless.
I love that mini! I have it in hot pink but I’m really loving the navy as a transitional piece! And the leopard belt with the gingham is adorbs!

this outfit is SO CUTE- you can never go wrong with a gingham top. and i used to have the same skirt from j crew! take it from me, you’re going to wear that baby into the ground. and hmmm, my favorite transitional piece? i’d have to say sleeveless dresses, because then you can layer pretty blouses under them!

When I think about the responsible and cute wardrobe I should have, I always picture your clothes! It’s so classy and work appropriate but still fun and youthful. I guess I should start investing in some good pieces, and quit buying disposable clothes….
Aww. That is the sweetest compliment! π
Love this look, girl! It’s styled perfectly with that leopard print belt! <3
The addition of the animal print belt is perfect!! Definitely adds a little edge and uniqueness to this classic combo π

Love the gingham top. I have a similar one from JCrew that I almost wore yesterday. Love that the print is so classic and it goes with almost anything.

that belt, those shoes, that outfit LOOOOOOOVE!
I love the black gingham paired with leopard. I would never have thought to put those two together but I love it! I won the Old Navy gift card and I want to thank you! My daughter started school today which is always a sad day for me. And, on top of that, I broke my foot. So this win was a sweet way to end an otherwise yucky day. I am going to share the card with my daughter. Thanks!! Susan
Awww. I’m so sorry you had a rough day! I’m glad that winning the gift card could be a little bright spot! π
