Herringbone & Polka Dots + a Giveaway!

I was so excited about this skirt purchase that I could not wait to wear it. Herringbone is a great, classic print, which I was naturally drawn to; however the skirt was still a bit of a departure for me due to the fuller cut. First pants and now a-lines? Y’all aren’t even going to recognize me anymore. Mixing fall prints: herringbone and polka dotsPairing it with chambray on the other hand was pretty much a no-brainer and a wardrobe staple for me. (Because let’s be honest: chambray is always a no-brainer, am I right?!)J.Crew polka dot scarf, chambray, herringbone circle skirtHerringbone circle skirt TargetPolka dotted scarf with chambrayhow to wear circle skirtTop: J.Crew Factory, Skirt: Xhilaration, Scarf: J.Crew (similar), Boots: Corso Como, Belt: Merona, Earrings: Stella & Dot Raina, Bracelets: Stella & Dot Eden Bangle, Gilded Arrow

I can’t wait to break this little skirt out again. I’m thinking leather would make a nice match for it. How would you wear it?

And now onto a feature! Today I have the pleasure of introducing y’all to Angela of Head to Toe Chic!ย Head to Toe ChicI was a reader of Angela’s blog long before she appeared on my sidebar. What keeps me coming back is how relatable she is. She’s a budget-friendly gal who proves that you don’t have to spend thousands to look like a million bucks. I love checking out her “Tuesday’s Cravings” features (hello, elbow patch sweater!) and her “Weekly Steals” are the best. Who doesn’t want to get the designer look for less?!ย You’ll definitely want to add Angela to your reader.Angela Head to Toe ChicAngela is kind enough to offer up $20 to Starbucks to one of you lucky ducks! Love your skirt–so cute! I have a herringbone cape that is seriously one of my favorite things in my closet. It’s amazing how much use you can get out of it even though its such a bold fabric!

I adore your skirt and the way you mixed your prints. It has inspired me to be more creative with my own closet! I think my favorite treat is their banana nut bread : )

This skirt is so beautiful! I had seen it on Target.com and loved it! It looks great with your chambray shirt. You asked how we would wear the skirt and I think that it also looks great with a sweater in one of these colors: bright pink, orange, burgundy, jade, palm green, yellow or red.

Hi Lauren! (And Angela) I follow your blog for the same reasons you follow Angela’s! I love how your style is classy, but attainable for this average jane. My Starbucks go-to is a cinnamon dolce latte, YUM!

Houndstooth is one of my favorite prints, and it’s so cute with the polka dots and chambray!
My favorite starbucks drink during the summer is an iced caramel macchiato, but now that the red cups are out, I switch to the peppermint mocha!
