I’m not sure what happened, but seemingly overnight our seasonably warm Fall weather turned to early Winter weather. So naturally out came the layers. Sweaters and scarves have pretty much been the norm lately, but jackets are now a requirement. (What gives, Va?)
I found myself reaching for my pom pom polka dot sweater (again, I know!) and layering it this time with leopard print. I also sported a little denim on denim action, but these cranberry-colored jeans keep the combination modern. (Thank you, Paige. I can always count on you for some seriously perfect jeans!)Sweater: J.Crew Factory (similar), Denim Jacket: Old Navy, Jeans: Paige (similar), Scarf: J.Crew Factory (similar), Booties: Carlos Santana (similar), Sunglasses: Cole Haan (similar), Ring: Stella & Dot Gilded Arrow
How are you rocking layers this season?

I am loving pretty much everything about this outfit. It got cold here pretty quickly too. I am actually already resigned to the fact that it ‘s already winter coat weather.
Woohoo for layers! That polka dot sweater is so cute, I love that its 3D
Those books are such a cute gift idea, sadly I don’t have a man to give it to ๐
Leopard, my favorite! Love your outfit! Adorable
Our weather has dropped too. I’m kind of glad though because I hate a hot Thanksgiving and Christmas. I don’t want to wear shorts for the holiday ๐
Love the polka dots and leopard print together! It’s freezing here too. Yesterday I had to break out my down parka ๐

This combo is great, and the color of those jeans are PERFECT! I’d give anything for jean jacket weather right now…we’re supposed to get dumped on by snow over the next few days!

I would give a date invitation booklet to my fiance! Great post ๐
You look gorgeous! Love the mix of the polka dot sweater and leopard scarf, just perfect!
Hi Lauren. I hadn’t commented in a while but I always visit your blog and see your amazing outfits. This one doesn’t disappoint either and it has so many great things I love: Denim Jacket, Polka Dots, Leopard, Colored Jeans, Booties. I love your layering. I, too am wearing Dark Red Skinny Pants with an Animal Print Scarf today, and have Boots in the same Color as yours. Come take a peek.
That giveaway sounds awesome too but it doesn’t work out so much for me now that I am in Europe, so I didn’t enter. I don’t want to take someone else’s chance of winning.
If we don’t talk before Happy Thanksgiving to you. You are welcome on my blog whenever you like. Ada. =)
Great easy outfit, and I adore the ankle boots, I have the same ones in suede!
Love the outfit! Okay. This might be a weird question but I need style help. How bad would it look if you were to wear socks with your outfit in this post? Maybe you are wearing socks but I can’t tell. My ankles get cold and I love the booties with skinnies but I’m wondering if socks would be possible.
I love the mix of prints and colors in this outfit- so pretty!
I love the breakfast in bed
Hello, hottie!! Dang girl, you are working this outfit and the camera!! Adore this pairing…the prints, colors and booties!! Nailed it!!
I love those colored jeans. Perfect color for this fall and winter ๐
Such a fun sweater! I love it with your denim jacket!

Your outfit has 3 things currently on my wishlist: leopard scarf, tan booties, and burgundy skinnies! Very cute outfit!

Lauren, I love every piece of this outfit. Your denim jacket & scarf are my favorites though! ๐
By the way, I’ve updated my blog with a new post. I’d love for you to swing by ๐
Love the outfit, especially the pants and scarf!! Too cute! ๐
For the giveaway – I’d give mine to my love. ๐
The leopard with the sweater is perfect with the cranberry jeans. The weather is absolutely out of control here too. As I speak, we are buried under a foot of snow and school’s been cancelled…we don’t typically see weather like this until at least January.

This is a great casual outfit that I could easily re-produce for the classroom in a professional way by wearing burgundy trousers and a heel. Thanks for the inspiration.

Gorgeous jeans – especially paired with those booties! Loving that embellished sweater too.

These photos are gorgeous – the cranberry does not make it look like denim on demin at all!
