The last time I wore this houndstooth a-line skirt I was a little unsure of the shape with my body type. Typically I stick with pencil skirts (which y’all know of course!) simply because of my slimmer hips and straighter midsection. Pairing it with a looser fit chambray made me feel larger, but when I happened to throw it on with a fitted long sleeve tee, I realized how much more this shape flattered my figure. It should have been a no-brainer that a fuller bottom would look best with a more slim cut top, but for some reason it didn’t occur to me until I tried it out. Even after all this time, I’m still learning about shapes and cuts. What’s the latest style lesson you’ve learned about yourself?!

Isn’t it the best feeling when you have that moment of finding the right top for the right bottom?? LOL! The life of a fashion lover. I am glad you found this top to go with the skirt because it’s just too dang cute not to wear it!!
This is such a cute skirt, I’m glad that you found a way to wear it that makes you feel comfortable. It really is a great outfit!
I love this skirt on you! I am still learning what shapes look best on me, especially since I’ve gained some weight and my body has changed a little.
I adore this skirt on you! I wore my Target houndstooth sweater yesterday to work- clearly we are on the same wavelength!
The slimmer fitting top compliments the fuller skirt beautifully! Sometimes it takes playing around in our closet to find the right match!

Always so classy and elegant, I just love your style SO much! Houndstooth is one of my favorite patterns. I love the shape of this skirt.
Looking lovely as usual. A full skirt is great for any body shape. I’m skinny on the bottom and A line skirts help balance my shape. Also I follow the wear opposites rule when pairing a top and bottom I.e pair a skinny top with a fuller bottom and vice versa
Love your skirt and necklace! I know…it’s amazing how obvious outfits are AFTER you put them together 🙂
Take Care!

Yayy! It looks so good! It’s funny what changing what you wear on top does. I’ve learned that I look good in narrow toed shoes, haha…pointy, almond, etc.
