Mix It: Color-blocked for Winter & Summer

Simple color-blocking is one of my favorite ways to create an easy, chic outfit. It’s a timeless classic — and did I mention, easy? Mixing and matching solids is about as straightforward as it gets, right?!color-blocking winter weekendcolorblocking with animal printcolor-blocked winter weekend casual wearFor Summer color-blocking is perfect with white denim. For Winter, I went for classic black and snuggled up with a solid cream scarf. Doesn’t get any less complicated than that…two ways to colorblock

That top is so cute and I love that it is neutral. You did a great job remixing it for 2 different seasons and your choice of Nude Shoes was perfect both ways. Check out how I remixed my Fair Isle Cardigan today. =)

    And 2 great Co-Hosts by the way. I will E-Mail you about co-hosting. 😉

Have a Great Monday, Ada. =)

So simple but so chic- the ideal combo in my opinion! I absolutely love these looks, and I am so happy to see white jeans! I don’t abide by the “no white after labor day” but any means, but I still have a tendency to associate white jeans with summer time. Given that it’s -2 here today without the wind chill, I needed a little summer inspiration!

I love the two-toned blouse! It’s different enough to be a statement on its own, but the color palette is also subtle enough to serve as the backdrop to brighter colors. Also, white denim–>black denim for winter is always a great trick to make your outfit seem like new.
