Leather and Lace

We had a pretty eventful weekend. On Saturday we headed to Charlottesville with some friends for my belated 30th birthday celebration. It was a great time, but I was more than ready to head home Sunday morning and get back to my baby. First night away from Layla was a success with only a handful of tears shed.

For the occasion, I actually had a different outfit planned. It was a lovely winter white top… that only made it through the first winery. You would think I spilled wine on it, but nope. This klutz spilled chocolate sauce during the tasting. Sigh. Guess I should have known better (which I kind of did since I had this backup top in my bag)!

It’s been a while since I broke out my black leather jacket. I paired it with a pastels last Winter and also have worn it with my snow leopard dress!

Spilling chocolate sauce on myself is totally something I would do (and have done I’m sure). Good thing you had that cute backup top and jacket–I’m sure the original outfit was great but this one is too! Gorgeous leather jacket!

Looks like you had a great Birthday weekend. Happy 30 and you sure don’t look it, Lauren. Oh and Chocolate sauce is one of those things that by Murphy’s Law anyone would spill on them lol. It’s a given.

P.S. Once again thanks for a fab link-up!

Yay for a weekend birthday celebration! I am sure it was hard leaving her, but you needed the mommy/adult time. It looks like a gorgeous place. And too funny about your top…sounds like something I would do! Gotta love back ups!
