Knotted Button Down

Another Monday upon us, and this time I can truly say it came too soon. On Saturday we had a pretty laid-back day at a local festival, but Sunday wiped me out completely. I was one of the crazies that set an alarm for midnight to shop the Lilly for Target Collection. Between the site crashes and updates, I ended up staying up until 4 am. Layla woke up promptly at 6, leaving me feeling fully exhausted. And because I hadn’t had enough crazy, I went to my local Target around 7:45 (not expecting much of a crowd). Boy I was wrong. I walked in with the line right around 8 am, and all of the racks were cleared by 8:02. I never stood a chance. At least I was able to get a couple orders through in the middle of the night. (I’m sure the Target loves seeing multiple orders from one customer with just one item, but a girl has got to do….)

You may recognize this J.Crew floral top that I picked up when I was newly pregnant. It’s too big to wear untucked now, but it’s a perfect fit knotted!

Love your relaxed style and I especially love your sandals. I used to have a pair of those and wore them out, maybe it’s time for a new pair! Thank you for hosting. Come on over and link up with your great outfit and shoes on SHOE and TELL Fashion Link Up on Style Nudge.

That was crazy with the whole Lilly for Target thing. I can’t wait to see what you got! Great idea to knot the top since it’s too big otherwise! I love the outfit, especially the pop of color in the belt!

Oh no, I heard it was crazy!! I didn’t even try to go to Target yesterday, I knew it would be a zoo. Can’t wait to see what you did get.
Love this look–the knotted top with the bright belt look so springy and fresh!

Glad you managed to get some orders through, and I don’t think I would give a second thought to what target does or does not appreciate. If they have to ship you 4 packages (for free) of the same item, so what? They are the ones who went about this launch so poorly by not having nearly enough inventory. Now everything is on eBay and I’m very annoyed!

You had to put those orders through on Target’s site like that or they would literally sell them right out of your cart!
