Hey, did you know this little girl turned one?! (If you follow on Insta or Snapchat – both @fizzandfrosting – I’m sure you got the one million reminders!)
Her birthday was last weekend, and of course we had to get family and friends together to celebrate! I wanted something sparkly and fun, so we went with a pink and gold birthday party theme. Of course that meant all glitter errthang.
I enjoy crafting and little details, so naturally I took on way too many projects the week before the party. I glittered mason jars and a paper maché number one. I made a collection of DIY tissue pom poms, punched a bunch or sparkly circles for decor, made glitter heart cupcake toppers, created a banner of her monthly photos, and fashioned high chair decorations with tulle and a sparkly “one” banner that I DIY’d. PHEW! It was a hectic week, but I loved how it came together.
I was so proud of Miss Layla too. She can tend to be a bit shy in unfamiliar groups but was little miss confident on her birthday. She was a little hesitant to really go after her first taste of cupcake but let family hold her, steal kisses, and she entertained the group during present time with her silly antics.
It was such a beautiful day. And I think Layla is really digging her new birthday present too!
Aww she looks so adorable! Happy first birthday! You did a great job with the decorations, it looks fantastic 🙂
All the stress and business in the run up to it is worth it when you can sit back and enjoy your baby enjoying the party! 🙂
So cute! Hard to resist going a little overboard with the first birthday party fun, isn’t it? Can’t go wrong with pink & gold though, and what a great birthday present!
Aww, yay!!! Happy Birthday Layla!! 😀 Looks like such a fun party
So cute! Pink and gold are my fave colors!!! HB to your gorgeous daughter!
