Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays (second only to Christmas). The delicious home-cooked food, being surrounded by family and friends, and of course the official kick-off to the holiday season (ie. ALL the Christmas decorations are comin’ out, people.). But for someone who loves clothes as much as I do, guess who still doesn’t have their Thanksgiving Day outfit picked out?! Yep, this girl. (Major blogger fail.) However my Black Friday style game is on point!
I don’t do a ton of shopping on Black Friday simply because the crowds kind of drive me crazy, and the thought of people jostling each other for deals gives me some serious anxiety, but I do make my way out later in the afternoon to pick up a few things every year. (Last year I picked up our Christmas tree on major sale!) Friday morning I’ll be making my plans of which stores I’ll dare to hit this year, and of course I’ll need a comfortable outfit. I kind of like the idea of going a bit literal with an all-black ensemble for the ocassion. Flats are necessary if you’ll be doing serious walking, and a light layers are always a favorite option of mine this time of year.

So, tell me: will you be venturing out with the crowds?
If you’re more into shopping from the comfort of your own couch like me, be sure to come back on Friday for my best of Black Friday sales round-up! I’ve been compiling top picks from all my favorite retailers along with sale details and coupon codes. You won’t want to miss it!
Loving this casual look for shopping! I go out with my mom every year on Friday morning around 8:00. We don’t like dealing with the crowds and all the people who have been out all night are usually gone by that point. I have to admit that I’m right there with you; I have my black Friday outfit chosen but not my Thanksgiving one! 😉 Have a great holiday!

I agree–light layers are necessary when doing serious shopping! You don’t want to be dragging a coat around. I also think a small crossbody is essential, because a regular purse or shoulder bag can get too heavy. Happy Thanksgiving!
I stay far away from the stores on Black Friday, haha. We usually go get our Christmas Tree at the farm the Friday after but this year my brother couldn’t get off work so we’re going on Saturday…sad 🙁

Crowds drive me crazy too! I always shop online rather than in store on busy sale days. I love how interesting you made this all black outfit! The striped shirt and lace up flats are so beautiful.

Such a nice casual outfit – love the stripes and the mix of textures to keep a monochrome outfit interesting 🙂
Hope you have a lot of luck in the sales! I prefer to avoid big shopping days and just shop online instead, haha!
I adore this outfit, you look awesome
