Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. I swear it was the fastest couple of weeks of my life, and the next thing you know we were tearing down all of our Christmas decorations. I feel like I’m still moving in slow holiday mode, and it’s going to take a few days to get back into the groove. And what better way to do it, then in simple, chic Winter neutrals.
I do love me some pattern mixing and all the prints, but I always come back to easy, simple staples. This pretty mix of tan and gray was just what I needed to kick off the year!
Sweater: Forever 21 <- under $25!, Jeans: Hudson, Shoes: Tory Burch c/o Shopbop, Bag: Gigi New York, Bracelets: Kate Spade, Stella & Dot Renegade Bracelet
And now a major confession: although I’ve worn all of these items in my daily life quite often, it took me getting to the end of the post to realize that they haven’t been featured on the blog. So #MixitMon fail unless you count the bag, which has been a fave for over a year and in many a blog post. So not much remixing, but still a successful outfit, yes? 😉
Now I’d love to see how you’re remixing your wardrobe!
- Follow your host Fizz and Frosting (via Bloglovin’ or Instagram)
- Share a post, showing how you remixed an item – a top, skirt, jeans, purse, shoes — it’s completely up to you! Want to share a collage? Go for it!
- Link back to this post with a text link or by sharing the linkup button!
- I’d love for you to tweet using #MixItMon so I can help promote your posts!
I think with a toddler Christmas flies by even faster than it did before, I’ve certainly felt that too! 🙂
Nice cosy yet casual outfit too 🙂 Happy new year and thank you for the link up!

Happy New Year! Those jeans are perfection on you, and I love that sweater 🙂
Love that sweater. And yea, I like patterns every once in a while (like today’s post) but I always gravitate toward solids and more basic pieces
I agree, can’t go wrong with lovely soft neutrals!
And I’m in no rush to take down the tree, as long as it’s still drinking water I’m happy to keep it up. Something about that smell and those soft glowing lights make the harshness of winter a bit more tolerable.
Chic on the Cheap
love the length of the sweater
Perfect! I love your cute and cozy look! Have a great new year.
sometimes the most classic designs or most embellished sweaters are the best, this is beautiful
