Another Monday. Are y’all ready to tackle this week?! We had a pretty busy weekend. We got to watch a friend of Aaron’s compete in a barbecue competition, and of course sample all of the goodies. I’m pretty sure one of Aaron’s dreams came true. (It was like watching BBQ Pitmasters in real life, ha!) On Sunday we braved the heat to head to the annual Carytown Watermelon Festival. We’ve gone every year we’ve been together, and I swear it always seems to land on the hottest weekend of the year. This year though it was probably the hottest one we’ve been to. We barely lasted an hour before heading back to the AC! Even Layla was sweaty and pink-cheeked, but she was always covered in watermelon juice by the end, so I’d call that a success!
